Skin is the largest organ in the human body and functions as an important barrier against the external environment by protecting the body from infection and injuries. Wound healing is a complex and overlapping biological process that involves a series of steps including inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. In this study, we explored the wound healing potential of the Damnacanthus major Calli (D. major) and Digiferruginol-11-O-β-primeveroside which is known as a biologically active compound through a combination of in in vitro, and in silico analysis. The Digiferruginol-11-O-β-primeveroside which is a biologically active compound was investigated by docking analysis for the potential inhibition of the NF-κB pathway, which has an important function in inflammation and wound repair. Also, we explored the effect of the D. major on the migration of the human keratinocyte cell line (HaCaT). The findings suggest the potential wound healing properties of D. major as a source for lead therapeutic candidate discovery.
